Piece by Piece

I am really interested in the accidental consequences that inevitably happen when shooting film photography and making art in general. When I am creating something, I give myself these expectations of what it will look like and usually I find myself aggressively disappointed. In the pursuit of fulfillment and embracing my imperfections, I tend to experiment and make lots of things in hopes something gives me an avenue to continue on. I combine this ebb and flow attitude with my emotions and trauma to attempt to heal and process the things that make my heart feel heavy. I enjoy challenging myself by making images that expose my insecurities to give them the beauty that every human emotion and behavior truly holds. With working with emotions, you can never really know when and how they will reveal themselves, which mirrors the type of images and pieces that I enjoy making. Things will go wrong, and they always will. My work reflects my attempt to find the light within those times and make something to remember them a little more fondly.
