I draw a lot of organs. A lot of organs covered in hearts, stars, glitter, bows, and rhinestones. To me, this represents femininity.

As a woman, I am already predestined to experience pain. Eating disorders, misogyny, violence, are common experiences for any woman. Though getting disemboweled isn't another common women’s experience, I like to depict the pain through bodily gore. Or something like beautiful bodily gore. As much as it is difficult to be a woman it is also so beautiful. I love being a woman!! I embrace femininity, and as much as it is a social construct, I don't care. I love glitter, and sparkles and rhinestones, and stars and hearts and everything cute. So I cover the painful cuts and open wounds I create with glitter, and sparkles and rhinestones, and stars and hearts and everything cute. The perfect juxtaposition for the life of a woman who likes girly things. Aka me. I hope my art can resonate with girls and women just like me because even though we may live through painful experiences we are all strong and beautiful and lovely girls in our hearts.
