Viva Las Data

Today cross-cultural connection, identity, and digital phenomena have surpassed what any one person could imagine on a tangible scale. Trained by interfaces, our web of digital artifacts continues to fool the deeper intentions within our corporeal experience. What intrigues me are the cracks and corners of where fiction and reality meet or cause tension.

My work relies on subverting the practice of how we visualize and gather information. By taking logical forms of resolution and forming abstracted experiences, I seek to refute a common position that seeing is believing. Working with language and physical forms of light, I push for the opportunity in making connections that are unfamiliar. Where abstracted reflections and light movement asks the viewer to be comfortable in the uncomfortable.
